Question #1:
I was wondering in personal experience which is the best to use on pet birds. In the summertime we go out alot and I hate leaving my birds home alone if it's some place they can go too. My parakeet and cockatiel stay in their carriers because they are not not big and heavy, but my blue crowned conures carrier is a cat carrier which is very big and heavy and I hate having to carrier it when we go to carnivals or steam and gas shows or to the park. I already bought a flight suit for my blue crowned, but I'm not exactly sure how safe it is. Will the flight suit definitly prevent my bird from flying off if he trys to because the leash the comes with it is only velcrow, so how safe is it in preventing fly offs? I haven't used it yet because he is scared to death of it. When I try to put it on him he will jump away. So, I've tried introducing it to him slowly. I'll sit him on the couch and then the flight suit on the couch too. He'll stay away from it for a few minutes then he'll start playing with it, but he still won't let me put it on him. So I know I'm gonna have the same problem with the Aviator harness. My thing is which would prevent him from getting away outside? He is clipped, but I know that some birds can still fly even if they are clipped especially if a gust of wind gets under them. Any advice, which is best the flight suit or the Aviator harness. Thanks.
I understand that pet birds are not dogs and shouldn't be taken for walks for fun. Let me just say that we are not taking our bird for a walk. I have 3 birds and are well aware of the risk. At all times the bird is going to be held. I wouldn't want anything to happen to my birds. Birds should be allowed outside too. You can't expect just because it's a pet bird to be stuck inside all day. My birds love to go outside and go on walk. My parakeet and cockatiel stay in their carriers, but my blue crowned conures carrier is so big and heavy and it doesn't let him see out very well cause basically it's a cat carrier. Please don't lecture me that birds aren't dogs, I understand that, but they should be given the chance to enjoy the outside just the same. I just want to know which would be best to use when I am holding him outside.
Question #2:
I have 3 pet birds and for the largest (a blue-crowned conure) I would like to get some sort of a leash/harness for when we go outside because is carrier is just to big and heavy to carry. My other 2 birds are a cockatiel and a parakeet and both their carriers are small and open, unline my blue-crowned whom we have to use a cat carrier for him. I was wondering which harness would be best. I have looked at both the flightsuit and the Aviator harness and am not sure which one would prevent fly-offs and would be safest. All my birds are clipped and plenty of people have told me (including the breeder we got him from) that it is okay to take the blue crowned outside on my shoulder without any sort of leash/harness, but I'm still afraid he might fly off. He's never flown here in the house but i'm afraid if we get outside and big wind comes up he will and I can't bare to lose him. In experience which have u thought to be the best. The fligthsuits or the Aviator harness. I already bought one flightsuit for my conure but I'm not sure if that is the best choice. Also, what is a good way to put it on him. My conure is a fraidy cat and he is scared to death of the fligth suit. He is still a baby and loves to be touched, but he won't let me put the flightsuit on him for anything, he just jumps away. Any advice and experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Question #3:
i think i might be a parakeet born inside a ne gro's body. here are my reasons:
1. i can lay ne gro eggs - about the same time every day, i am able to lay a dark brown egg. i made a nest of towels in the bedroom and keep them there.
2. i date/am sexually attracted to other birds - i am especially fond of my lovely blue-crowned conure, sonic. i like to take her out for long strolls in the park followed by a delightful meal of berries, seeds, and water from her dish.
3. i have a long nose - unlike most other negroes, i have a long, beak-like nose

Question #6:
Hi, I have been looking for a pet bird forever! I recently found out about blue crown conures. They look GORGEOUS! I am ready and willing to do ANYTHING to get one. I know that they are a 20-30 year commitment but i will do everything i need to for these birds. It will be my first bird, even though i know a ton about birds, and my parents have owned a wide variety of birds such as cockatiels, parakeets, parrotlets, and macaws. I will be willing to let him out of his cage for 4-5 hours if not longer, and pet him for 1-2 hours or longer if he tolerates it. Will this cage be good for one:

Question #9:
I already have a Blue-Fronted Amazon and two adorable parakeets, but I am considering getting another bird in the next 6 months, if I can find one that suits us. I am considering a Blue Headed Pionus, Blue Crown Conure, Sengal, or a Rainbow Lorikeet. I have done research and know only what I read on different websites. I want to make an informed and correct decision. I do not want a bird the size of an Amazon or bigger. I would like it to be fairly quiet (noise is fine, just not too noisy), playful, comical, and not as demanding as my Amazon. I want to make sure I have the right amount of time to devot to another bird, so if none of these fit, then I will not get one. I want to hear from those who have owned these birds, or from anyone who has a suggestion as to what bird would be best. Birds are lifetime committments so please be honest.
Waitingtoexit: Can you tell me about your Caique? I have looked at them but read they were loud is that true?
Question #10:
Well my blue crowned parakeet bites and squawks. And he only lets my step-dad hold him, sometime he even bites him. It leaves a huge bloody gouge too. He's squawks like crazy when human food is around him and when nobody is in the the same room as him. He's even changed his squawks, from high pitch screams to constant talking. (he has learned how to meow like a cat and he just keeps meowing and meowing like the friggen energizer bunny! Is there anyway to make him calm down and stop biting people.
Click Here <-----that is a pic of him
He loves to talk he meows, hellos, says peekaboo, and says blessyou when you sneeze. He even laughs but he's afraid of water bottle squirter thingies. If you even hold it up to him he backs up and then jolts forward ready to bite it. (This bird wasn't mine before, he did have previous owners so I don't know if they even treated him right or not.)
