Well i got the 2 birds for my birthday and i was so happy. I was always up to the cage trying to talk with them. But later named VOCOME and YELLOW DOT but every time i went to see them they would go to the other side. Well vocome loves when my brother comes around he hopes right on his finger and yellow dot does rarely. But my brother told me try to get the other one to like me but that no help because yellow dot is starting to like him too. PLEASE HELP

its in a tiny cage and sits in its food bowl all day i felt sorry for it
i had one before i moved to itay 6 years ago now we're moving back so i wanna know if i can take it back to the UK before i save it!

I am planning on buying a Quacker Parakeet or a.k.a a Monk Parakeet. The bird breeder that i am buying it from lives in texasarkana( which mean that he lives on the border of texas and arkansa. I live in Dallas, Texas and my city is Plano. I was wondering the average price to get it shipped to me. its a small bird maybe 12 inches at the most. and i was wondering how costly that woulde be? btw it is about maybe 3-4 hours away.

First of all, is it a parakeet or a parrot? (the quaker/monk) Second, how big is it? I always thought it was a parakeet, so i figured it was a smaller bird, but then, someone said it was as big as a large cockatiel. Is that big? Thank you if you help!

I haven't had the chance to go to my local pet store and ask them and see if they have some and all but i just want to know how much it will be if i do get one from petsmart or petco. I want a bird, and ive been doing some research. I found out that quaker/monk parakeets are great and intelligent pets. But now i have found that budgies are much cheaper (and easier to get at a pet store). Some people say that they are the same thing just different names, some say they are totally different birds. Can someone give me the true answer?
And if they are different, which is better. i want it to talk so....

My male monk parakeet (quaker parrot) has been pulling his feathers out for over a year. I have been giving it a lot of attention and care. He has a large cage with bird toys. He loves to chew his feathers, and he has lost all of them, exept for the feathers on his wings and head. PLEASE HELP!!!
