Question #1:
in two months ill be bringing home a java mustached parakeet or also know as a red-breasted parakeet. i know only little about the bird , mostly what i found on the internet. should i just buy a book on parakeets? please help if you know anything about this bird! mostly would like to know how to train and the basic care for the bird.
Question #2:
I was wondering because I plan on buying one from a local pet store, yet I want to know if Im being ripped off price-wise.
thank-you!
Question #3:
I bought it from the bird market where sellers don’t even know the species that they’re selling. So I always have to identify birds myself.
What species is this?
I’ve narrowed this bird down to the Red-breasted parakeet (Psittacula alexandri), the Long-tailed parakeet (Psittacula longicauda) or the Blossom-headed parakeet (Psittacula roseate). Which one do you think it is?
Since this bird is very young, it still hasn’t acquired its adult plumages yet, but it already has the traces of its adult coloring. I’m excited to know which species it is and I’d be grateful if you can take part in identifying which species my new parakeet is.
Thanks!
You guys don't even read my question . . .
Question #4:
Yesterday we got a red breasted conure. We already have a blue quaker parakeet. any advise as to how to introduce the two? the conure really only wants to sit on ur shoulder. she cant fly. the quaker can fly, and can kinda just do whatever. where should we introduce them? and what signs of aggresion should i look out for? we've already tried to introduce them a little, but the conure stays only on the shoulder, and the quaker we just hold to see. thanks so much!
